A Place Built for Thoughtful Learners
Khun Samphan was founded on the belief that adults deserve financial education that meets them where they are β with patience, local knowledge, and genuine respect for their life experience.
β Back to HomeHow Khun Samphan Began
Khun Samphan opened in Pattaya after years spent observing a gap in locally available financial education. Many adults approaching their 40s and 50s found that existing resources were either too academic, too product-focused, or simply not designed with the Thai banking environment in mind.
The founder, drawing on a background in adult education and personal finance consulting, began hosting small gatherings in 2019. These sessions grew steadily through word of mouth β not through advertising, but because participants found them genuinely useful.
Today, Khun Samphan operates as a structured workshop centre on Pattaya Beach Road, offering three programs throughout the year. Every program remains small by design, and the philosophy has stayed constant: clarity first, no rush, and complete respect for each participant's existing knowledge and experience.
What We Set Out to Do
Our mission is straightforward: to give adults in Thailand the knowledge they need to understand and manage their personal finances with greater confidence β using real information drawn from Thai institutions, regulations, and regional cost data.
We do not sell financial products, manage assets, or receive commissions from banks or service providers. This means our content can stay focused entirely on what participants need to know, without any competing interest.
We measure success not by enrollment numbers, but by the quality of understanding participants carry out of each session. If someone leaves clearer than they arrived, the workshop has done its job.
Who Leads Each Workshop
A small, dedicated team β each member selected for both subject knowledge and their ability to communicate clearly with adult learners.
Sunee Phatthana
Lead Facilitator
Sunee has eighteen years of experience in adult financial education and holds professional credentials in personal finance advisory from the Thai Financial Planners Association.
Chaiwat Rungrak
Program Coordinator
Chaiwat manages program scheduling, participant support, and workshop materials. He brings a background in adult learning design and a thoughtful approach to group facilitation.
Malee Leungwat
Content & Research
Malee keeps all workshop content current and accurate, drawing on regional banking data, regulatory updates, and ongoing research into Thai financial products and services.
How We Maintain Quality
Every aspect of our program delivery is held to deliberate standards β from how we structure content to how we manage participant information.
Professional Accreditation
Our lead facilitator holds current certification from the Thai Financial Planners Association (TFPA), and all content is reviewed annually against updated regulatory and banking standards.
Adult Learning Principles
We follow established adult learning methodology (andragogy), which respects prior experience, allows self-direction, and emphasises immediate practical application over rote memorisation.
Participant Privacy
All personal information shared during workshops or in registration is handled with strict discretion and stored securely. Participant details are never shared with third parties.
Regularly Updated Content
Workshop materials are reviewed and updated at the start of each quarter to reflect the current rates, products, and regulations available through Thai financial institutions.
Post-Session Support
Participants may contact us with follow-up questions for up to 30 days after completing a workshop. Brief clarification support is included as standard, at no additional cost.
No Conflicts of Interest
We do not accept referral fees, product commissions, or sponsorship from financial institutions. This keeps our content independent and focused entirely on the participant's interest.
Financial Education Designed for Adults in Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard
Khun Samphan serves adults across the PattayaβChonburi corridor who are looking to deepen their understanding of personal finance. Many participants come from working careers in tourism, property, healthcare, or trade β backgrounds that provide substantial life experience but not always structured exposure to Thai banking products and savings mechanisms.
Our workshops draw on current data from institutions including Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Krungthai Bank, and the Government Savings Bank, covering products that are genuinely accessible to residents and long-term expats throughout the region.
Adults who join our programs often describe the experience as surprisingly calm. There is no pressure, no test at the end, and no product to buy. The aim is understanding β and understanding tends to arrive most reliably when the environment is respectful and unhurried.
For those considering retirement in Thailand, or those with family members abroad who send or receive funds across borders, our Currency & Exchange Awareness and Retirement Lifestyle Costing programs offer particularly relevant grounding in the financial realities of daily life in this region.
